Family Therapy

My approach to family therapy is rooted in family systems theory, where family is seen as a system that is more than just a sum of its individual members.  Systems have their ways of maintaining stability and resisting change, yet when change occurs and dysfunctional patterns are disrupted, it can be a powerful and healing force both for the current family and for future generations.

Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes, once or twice per week. The specific structure of a family treatment plan will be developed individually for each family depending on the presenting issues and family constellation.
